Spatializing and validating daily evapotranspiration over a Mediterranean vineyard watershed
نویسندگان
چکیده
Daily Evapo-Transpiration (ET) was spatialized over a Mediterranean vineyard watershed by using ASTER data along with the S-SEBI model. Validation over seven contrasted sites was performed using an original procedure that allowed easier multi-site monitoring without being much expensive. It made use of neutron probe data for calibrating the HYDRUS-1D model that simulates vadoze zone water transfers. The calibration of the HYDRUS-1D was satisfactory, with a 6% relative error on water storage. Validation over two contrasted sites of HYDRUS1D against eddy covariance data showed the model simulated daily ET with a 0.6 mm.d−1 accuracy. Finally, daily ET derived from ASTER / S-SEBI were validated against HYDRUS-1D simulations. The obtained accuracy was about 0.8 mm.d−1, regularly quoted as a requirement for further applications.

Estimation of Evapotranspiration and Crop Coefficients of Tendone Vineyards Using Multi-Sensor Remote Sensing Data in a Mediterranean Environment
The sustainable management of water resources plays a key role in Mediterranean viticulture, characterized by scarcity and competition of available water. This study focuses on estimating the evapotranspiration and crop coefficients of table grapes vineyards trained on overhead “tendone” systems in the Apulia region (Italy). Maximum vineyard transpiration was estimated by adopting the “direct” ...

R e m o t e sensing data from the NOAA-11 A VHRR satellite were collected over the USDA-Agricultural Research Service Walnut Gulch Experimental Watershed in southeastern Arizona during the MONSOON 90 field campaigns. An energy balance model which relies primarily on remotely sensed inputs was used to extrapolate evapotranspiration (ET) estimates from one location containing near-surface meteoro...
متن کاملApplication of SIMETAW simulation model for prediction of climate parameters in different regions of Iran
So far, several models have been proposed for estimating different climate parameters, but due to the lack of valid and long-term data in some meteorological stations, some models have been difficult to use. The SIMETAV V.1.0 model has been developed in cooperation with the University of California Davis and the Water Resources Authority of California in 2005. The SIMETAW model is a new and inn...

Prediction of watershed responses and simulation of runoff rate and volume are required for design purposes in most water resources projects. For this purpose, different hydrologic methods and events based on continuous hydrologic mathematical models are applied. In this research, a continuous hydrologic model, Stanford Watershed Model-IV (SWM-IV) is used for simulation of annual and monthly vo...

Background and objectives: The use of copper based fungicides is a crucial part of agricultural operations in vineyards, increasing productivity and crops. However, the long term application of fungicide could increase the copper concentration in the vineyard soils. Methods: In this study, soil and water chemical parameters including copper contamination, pH and EC as well as soil organic ...
